Electro-mechanical platforms for EO/IR, radar and comms payloads

Stable ground for every sensor.

Pulsar designs military tripods, precision pan-tilt positioners and the motor control behind them. We give thermal cameras, radars and communication payloads a platform that sets up fast, points accurately and holds steady in the field.

Product families

Each family is a building block. Combine a tripod, a positioner and a controller, or take one of them into your own system.

Series HD

Ultra heavy-duty tripods

A stiff, wide-stance base for long-range EO/IR systems, radars and multi-sensor heads.

  • Leg geometry chosen for stiffness under wind and slewing loads
  • Quick-release leg locks that work with gloves
  • Leveling head and standard payload interface
Series UL

Ultra light tripods

Made for dismounted teams who carry their observation kit on foot and set it up in minutes.

  • Lightweight structure that one person can carry
  • Folds into a compact package
  • Same payload interface as the HD series
Series PT

Precision pan-tilt positioners

Modular electro-mechanical positioners that point thermal and day cameras with ultra-high precision.

  • Continuous azimuth rotation with slip ring
  • Absolute encoders on both axes
  • Side-mount and top-mount payload versions
Series MC

Motion control electronics

Motor drives and controllers that turn operator commands into smooth, accurate motion.

  • Closed-loop position and velocity control
  • Standard serial and Ethernet command interfaces
  • Firmware tuned to each payload's inertia
02

How a Pulsar system works

The operator gives a target direction. The controller plans the motion, the drives turn the motors, and the encoders report every movement back so the payload settles exactly where it was sent.

03

From requirement to field

We design, build and test under one roof, so the mechanics, electronics and software are tuned to each other from the start.

01

Requirement

We start from your payload: its mass, inertia, pointing accuracy and the environment it must survive.

02

Design

Mechanical design, structural analysis and motor sizing are done together, not one after the other.

03

Build

Critical parts are machined and assembled in-house, with every unit traceable to its parts and settings.

04

Test

Each unit is tuned, run through its acceptance tests and delivered with its own test report.

04

Where our platforms work

Wherever a sensor has to watch a wide area for long hours, without a fixed building to stand on.

Border and perimeter

Long-range observation posts that are set up where they are needed and moved when the threat moves.

Mobile observation

Pan-tilt heads on vehicles and shelters that deploy in minutes and survive transport.

Thermal imaging

Stable pointing for thermal cameras, where small vibrations show up as blur at long range.

Radar and communications

Heavy-duty bases for antennas and radar heads that must stay aligned in strong wind.

05

Built to be trusted

Quality system

Our processes follow the ISO 9001 quality management system, from design review to delivery.

Traceability

Every delivered unit carries its serial number, parts list and test record.

Environmental testing

Designs are tested against the temperature, vibration and ingress conditions agreed with the customer.

Certified ISO 9001

Pulsar is certified for ISO 9001 quality system requirements. We supply leading contractors and integrators, as well as corporate and professional customers.
